The Echo of the Spirit Through the Rhythms of Life: Louise Janin 3 – 7 June 2026
Curated by Simon Grant and Vivienne Roberts, this exhibition marks Britain’s first solo presentation of artworks by Louise Janin (1893-1997), an American artist who settled in France in the 1920s.
Spanning more than eighty years, her practice developed at the intersection of art, music, science, and spirituality. Rather than depicting the visible world, her paintings register the energetic and cosmic forces that animate it.
Through rhythmic abstract forms, Janin’s work invites multisensory engagement that resists today’s culture of scrolling and image saturation.
This exhibition offers a different proposition: an art of attention, attunement, and sensory awareness, engaging forms of knowledge beyond the visible.
