GPS celebrates its 2nd birthday!

It’s our second birthday!

Housed in one of the first buildings acquired by Soho Housing Association in the 70s, 36 Great Pulteney Street has five affordable homes on its upper floors, while playing host to exhibitions on its ground and lower ground floors.

Since the gallery’s inception, shows have included never previously seen archives from Soho’s Black Queer nightclubs, international curatorial projects, art historical retrospectives, a homage to neon, a Turner Prize winner, a YBA, Soho Parish School, and much more!

2025 saw the inaugural Soho Open, a collaboration with Parker Harris: we opened the gallery to over 100 artists via an open call, with a second iteration happening in November 2026.

Our shows have been recommended by artlyst, Paul Carey-Kent, FAD, fomo, The Guardian, Katy Hessell, The Shock of the New, Time Out, to name but a few – thank you so much for your support!

The gallery, located in the heart of Soho’s iconic cultural quarter, is owned by Soho Housing and all profits from GPS go to the maintenance and provision of Soho Housing Association’s affordable homes.
